Payment store
The payment store is a small store downtown in Maruf where townspeople pay their utility bills and send money transfers, with an ATM outside. It is planned and not built yet. Its name is not decided: "payment store" is a working title.
Description
A modest, slightly old-fashioned independent shop in a row of storefronts. The design brief for its reference pictures asks for a glass shop front with the door in the middle, a plain sign over the windows (PAYMENTS - BILLS - MONEY TRANSFERS), posters about paying bills in the windows, and an ATM set into the wall beside the door under a small awning. Inside: a small waiting area with plastic chairs and a rack of brochures, a long counter with two service windows behind thick glass, a take-a-number machine, a desk for filling in forms, and a back office with a safe. The owner designs the place when it is built; the brief is a starting point, not the design.
In the game
The kid sends money to EmporWAY from here: the money transfer that pays for the orders. It is needed by chapter day 10, Thursday 2 November 2000, when the first order comes in and the kid pays the supplier the same day. Later it can host chores too, like a parent sending the kid to pay the electricity bill.
