Frank Dawson's house
Frank Dawson's house is the home of Frank Dawson and his cat Tank on School Street in Maruf, next door to the Carters. Frank sits on its front porch in his rocking chair, and keeps his garden shears in a small shed in the side yard.
Description
The porch
A deep front porch with Frank's rocking chair, a red footstool under his feet and a blue runner where Tank lies in the sun. No family photographs are on show in the house or on the porch: only Frank and Tank live there.
The shed
A small garden shed in the side yard, west of the house, its door facing Frank's yard. His garden shears are kept by its door.
Inside
Planned for 1 August 2000: Frank's armchair, his cane against the armrest, and Tank on the rug at his feet.
In the game
- 3 July 2000: Frank calls the kid over to the porch and sends them for milk for Tank and a newspaper.
- 15 July 2000: for Frank's fence job, the kid fetches the shears from the shed and clears the brush on the fence line between the two back yards (being built, not in the game yet).
- 1 August 2000: the kid visits Frank inside, and they walk downtown together (planned).
